e-MDs Solution Series™ 6.2.0 Released
New version of electronic health record and practice management brings much anticipated upgrades.

AUSTIN, TX - Today e-MDs, an industry leader in providing user-friendly CCHIT certified electronic health record (EHR) and practice management software to healthcare providers throughout the United States, announced the release of the latest installment of its Solution SeriesTM suite of software applications. This version builds upon e-MDs’ success as the top rated EHR in objective evaluations; including those performed by the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, and American Academy of Neurology. It offers a number of new features and enhancements that keep pace with emerging requirements, specialty specific needs, and e-MDs’ commitment to developing software that is affordable and easy to use at the point of care.
The 6.2.0 Enhancements include:
- * OB Module - An extremely efficient prenatal encounter documentation tool based on the ACOG criteria, input from practicing obstetricians and cutting edge software design methods. It is filled with OB-specific clinical and billing related features and has gone through extensive testing in the field.
- * Patient Entered History - - e-MDs Patient Portal now offers integration with Instant Medical History®. Patients can fill out electronic clinical questionnaires in the comfort of their home or in your waiting room, and staff can elect to include this information in the chart, making the history-gathering process markedly more efficient.
- * Welch Allyn CardioPerfect Workstation Interface –
- This is the latest interface developed to work with an industry-leading provider of medical diagnostic and therapeutic devices and equipment. It enables seamless connectivity and structured data sharing between e-MDs and CardioPerfect compatible devices (resting ECG, stress ECG and spirometry).
- * RHC/FQHC Practice Management Enhancements – Several time-saving enhancements have been added at the request of our current Rural Health Clinics (RHC) and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) practices. These will further extend our ability to meet the unique needs of these facilities
- * Enhanced PQRI Functionality – This tool supports more robust Physicians Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) data gathering and reporting capabilities. It also features a number of enhancements to the interactive tools that allow users to track and manage PQRI related data stored in registries.
- * State Immunization Registry Data Sharing – This feature is designed to allow practices to efficiently submit immunization data to immunization registries in participating states.
- * e-MDs Enterprise Reports – e-MDs has released enhancements to one of the most comprehensive reporting systems on the market. The new features allow for an increased level of sophistication for clinical (including pay-for-performance initiatives) and financial reporting. This suite of tools fully supports operational analysis and evidence-based practice management.
- * Clinical Content Updates – Numerous specialty specific templates that cover the majority of common clinical conditions in the specialties of Ob/Gyn, Cardiology, Neurology, Urology, and several other specialties are available to our users (without additional fees). These templates have been developed and/or tested by board certified specialists.
- * Many additional new features and enhancements to the Patient Portal, Billing, Scheduling, Charting, Patient Portal, and EDI offerings.
