AUSTIN, TEXAS – Michael Stearns, the President and CEO, of e-MDs, is a Board Certified Neurologist, a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), a Certified Family Practice Coder (CFPC™), and a member on the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Family Practice Specialty Exam Steering Committee. Over the past 13 months Dr. Stearns has provided a series of nationally broadcast audio conferences on medical coding for AAPC members related to health information technology. He is also speaking on April 6, 2009 at the AAPC’s National Conference. The topic of this presentation will be on how coding professionals and auditors can provide valuable services related to electronic health records.
