    AUSTIN, TX – e-MDs, a leading provider of electronic health records (EHRs), is pleased to announce the recent hire of Robyn Leone as Director of Public Policy & Government Initiatives. Prior to joining the e-MDs team in February of 2012, Ms. Leone was the Director of the Colorado Regional Extension Center (CO-REC), one of 62 ARRA-funded extension centers dedicated to assisting primary care and safety net providers with EHR implementation and adoption while achieving Meaningful Use objectives. Leone’s hire is part of e-MDs’ ongoing effort to focus on government relations and pursue working with numerous Regional Extension Centers (RECs) and Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) across the country.  e-MDs has become one of the most recommended vendors by RECs based upon numerous criteria such as client base, references, product capabilities, and company financials.

    AUSTIN, TXe-MDs, the provider of the nation’s most highly rated EHR, announced they have been selected by Kokua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services (KKV) as the vendor of choice for the clinic’s EHR and practice management system.   KKV is a Federally Qualified Health Center that was formed by community leaders in 1972.  Its 160 employees (including 13 providers) work to address the social determinants of health by providing comprehensive, culturally-competent health care and social services. Primary and preventive care services including medical, dental, and behavioral health are provided to persons of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay.

    The Electronic Health Record Association gave two Certificate of Excellence awards to e-MDs’ president and CEO, Dr. Michael Stearns, at the recent Health Information Management Systems Society 2012 Annual Meeting.   The awards were for leadership and assistance provided for initiatives related to Patient Safety and Meaningful Use.

    Austin, TX – e-MDs, the provider of the nation’s most highly rated Electronic Health Record (EHR), congratulates Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System (SVMHS) for assisting 80 physicians in their community with achieving Meaningful Use, the standard required to receive federal funds for the conversion to electronic health records. SVMHS selected e-MDs as their EHR provider after a rigorous selection process in 2009. The strong partnership that developed between SVMHS and e-MDs has led to the successful implementation of more than 100 providers in 42 facilities in Salinas, California and the surrounding communities.

Dr. Wenner is one of the first providers in Minnesota to attest to Meaningful Use for the Medicare EHR Incentive Program.

    AUSTIN, TX  e-MDs, the provider of the nation’s most highly rated electronic health record (EHR), announced that providers at Southwest Family Physicians,  Drs. Mark Woodruff and William Weeks, were among the first physicians in the state of Nebraska to attest for Meaningful Use and receive federal funds from the Medicare EHR Incentive Program for their efforts. The doctors were recently recognized by Nebraska’s Lt. Governor, Rick Sheehy and Wide River Technology Extension Center (TEC), for their leadership in the transition to EHRs.  Drs. Woodruff and Weeks have been providing medical care to families in the Omaha area since 1984 and have been e-MDs clients since 2009.

Holsinger, MD, PC, as a 2011 HIMSS Ambulatory Davies Care Award of Excellence recipient.  The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) selected six winners of the 2011 HIMSS Davies Awards with two clinics winning in the ambulatory award category. Dr. Holsinger’s rural Iowa practice was recognized for the quality of patient care he provides through the Meaningful Use of EHRs.
