e-MDs Solution Series™ 6.1.2(SP2) adds speed and features

In a gradual rollout, e-MDs began releasing its latest version in October. Following in the e-MDs tradition of customer-driven products, e-MDs Solution Series 6.1.2(SP2) packs several items requested by customers, including enhanced functionality, reporting and other customizations, as well as fixes and performance tweaks.

e-MDs Solution Series 6.1.2(SP2) enhancements include:
e-MDs Patient Portal™: A tightly integrated, secure internet-based communication tool that enhances the physician-patient relationship, improves quality and reduces costs. By purchasing this, clinics can send lab results, appointment and health maintenance reminders and more, while patients can view and generate an up-to-date health summary, schedule appointments and send in refill and referral requests.

Added Security: Administrators can customize and limit chart viewing and chart updating access, even on a chart-by-chart basis. This expands on the existing tight security system, which permits word-by-word blackout, by also restricting the access to charts of staff members, celebrities and other VIP patients, or to require supervisor approval to add notes to patient charts.

Added Convenience: Open patient charts directly from the Appointment Book, Check In and Invoicing screens, for added ease in scanning and accessing files during check in or check out.

Medication Adjustments: Users can document, view and track drug samples and common changes to prescriptions more easily than before.

Supplemental Reporting: Over 40 new and improved customized reports for the Chart, DocMan, Bill, Schedule, Demographics and Security sections.
