e-MDs Solution Series™ 6.1.2(SP2) one of the first products to pass

The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) announced in July that e-MDs Solution Series™ 6.1.2(SP2) is CCHIT Certified, and meets the Commission’s ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) criteria for 2007. e-MDs Solution Series™ 6.1.2(SP2) certified on July 11, 2007, and was the fifth EMR to achieve CCHIT 2007 certification.

The e-MDs CCHIT team this year consisted of Javier Loera, Casey Green, Chuck Frederick and Pamela Chapman.

In order to be CCHIT certified, the product must pass 100%. The CCHIT Certified mark — a “seal of approval” for EHR products — provides the first consensus-based, consistent benchmark for ambulatory products. While it is only one thing an EHR shopper should consider, the CCHIT Certified seal guarantees that a product meets certain national industry standards.
