New Year, New Location, New Successes

e-MDs hosted User Conference 2007 on August 2-4, 2007 at the Hilton Austin Downtown. The new, larger location provided more space and better amenities to a sold out crowd of over 500 e-MDs users.

User Conference 2007, e-MDs third annual, gave current users of the award winning e-MDs Solution Series™ the opportunity to learn, collaborate and advance with their peers. Attendees shared knowledge while mingling with representatives of e-MDs’ training, implementation, management and support teams. The downtown setting was also ideal for exploring the varieties of food, music and entertainment for which Austin is known.

e-MDs Training and Implementation Teams worked diligently to create a program that would benefit attendees in their practices. The three day conference was organized into a variety of classes, lectures, events and a lab designed to assist customers in better utilizing Solution Series. Classes began on Thursday with a full day pre-conference focusing on basic workflow and best practices. The next two days featured lessons on everything from scheduling to E&M coding to reporting. Attendees also got a “sneak peak” of upcoming features, benefits and add-ons to e-MDs products.

In addition to attending classes, attendees were able to socialize at planned events. On Thursday night, e-MDs hosted a Casino Meet & Greet where attendees could put faces with the voices and names of support and management staff, while enjoying live music and casino games. In addition, UC07 provided Focus Lunches, where physicians and staff were able to collaborate with others from the same specialty and share ideas that have proved successful in their respective clinics.

The Conference also provided a lab where members of the e-MDs Support Team answered clinic-specific questions, and attendees could practice the answers hands-on.

The 2007 User Conference was the most successful one yet. e-MDs User Conference 2008, scheduled for July 30- August 2 in Austin, Texas, promises to be bigger and better still! Stay tuned for more details.
