How long have you been with e-MDs?
I started with e-MDs on October 9, 2006. I started my employment with e-MDs in the software support department as a Software Support Representative. In June 2007 I was transferred to the Acceleration Team to assist in client implementations. In October 2007, I was then transferred to the newly formed Claims Support Team. In February 2008, I was promoted to Claims Project Manager.
What is your current position and what do you do?
CPM/EDI Specialist. I assist and train newer clients that are implementing e-MDs software with the enrollment and setup of their chosen clearinghouse. The ultimate goal is to ensure the client has a successful submission, as well as correct electronic posting of remittances and CMS 1500 forms. I assist clients with resolving issues with denial claims, as well as supporting our existing customer base with claims issues.
What do you enjoy most about your position and responsibilities?
If I were to choose one thing I enjoy most about my position, it would be the satisfaction I get when I have completed the client’s claims implementation. Once the client is successfully filing and being reimbursed by the carriers, and I know that I given that client the training necessary to effectively use the product. I feel a sense pride in assisting them in that success.
Angie received the e-MDs 3rd Quarter 2007 Employee Excellence Award in Support. Her manager, Lizza Betancourt says,” Angie usually handles the more complex issues and always ensures that the client is taken care of, by communicating timelines, challenges, and development that needs to occur. Clients will ask for Angie directly based on their experience and confidence in her knowledge. She is a great asset to the Claims/EDI Department.”
