WEDI Launches Final ICD-10 Readiness Survey

surveyThe Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI), announced the release of its latest (and likely last) ICD-10 readiness survey. The survey is designed to help determine how well the healthcare industry is progressing towards the Oct. 1, 2015 implementation deadline.

WEDI has been conducting readiness surveys since 2009. The most recent survey results were released in April 2015 and indicated some progress with readiness, especially on the part of payors, but a sluggish response on the part of many vendors and providers.

Now that we are mere months away from the implementation deadline, it is important to see the progress the industry has made in the last several months and what areas need a greater focus in the months ahead.

Providers, health plans, vendors and clearinghouses are invited to participate to help gauge progress for all parties. The survey can be accessed here. The submission deadline is July 10, 2015. Results will be evaluated and compiled into a report for the industry.
